Processor around Huntsville/Conroe

I was wondering if any of yall on here have any recommendations or previous experiences with any processors around huntsville or down to conroe? I know that talents is just outside huntsville but have been told they are extremely expensive so any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

I have heard countless people tell me that it looks like you only get half your deer back when they are through with it.

I'd try H&S Meat Market off of Frazier in Conroe. The owner's name is Jerry (great guy) and they are quick! He's got a big variety of recipes out for venison which are great! Here is his info.

I have used H&S in the past and they were good as well.

I took 1 deer to Talents in Riverside last year out of convenience..........I was NOT pleased, don't think I got MY deer and the sausage is still in the freezer because no one here will eat it. This somewhat baffled me because I have heard good things about them for years, maybe new people or maybe a 1 time deal who knows.

we took a deer to talents last year and had breakfast sausage made out of the trimmins. It was the best i have ever ate, well except for my own i make, ha. Dont know the price cause a company that took us hunting paid for the processing.

That would be a first for me to hear. I've spent quite a few afternoons in there and could tell you first hand that YOU get YOUR deer!!!

I've never had a problem there!

but....I've also heard the same stuff about H&S.

Thanks for the updates guys, almost every processor that has been around for some time always has stories about people not getting their deer which may or may not be true. WHich that is important but most important for me is price and quality. I will probably call on these places and see what kind of prices they have. Thanks again

We have always used Talents they are a little expensive, but we have never been dissapointed
