Fifth Annual Video Challenge is Finally Here!

The Official Rules have been posted!

Note the following rule changes...

• Cost of entry is $25. If you purchase a copy of "It's All About the Video: A Bowhunter's Guide to the Self-Filmed Hunt" (either prior to or at the time of your entry) from the TexasBowhunter.com website, the entry fee is only $15!
  
• No copyrighted material, including music and video, will be accepted for the Video Challenge.

One thing I'm considering is either the addition of a separate "Year in Review" category, or possibly combining that category with Non Harvest. I'd like to get your thoughts before finalizing that.

I'm really looking forward to this year's videos.

hands down Team Bone had the best year in review

Team Matt Stolle had the wildest "single harvest"

two very different and deserving videos in the same category

Not trying to make it complicated but....

what's the difference between "year in review" and "team category"?

oh....and "harvesting" is definately chronicled in our team entry/year-n-review....but if dumped into non-harvest....we'll....well, film some windmills or somethin' (grin)

Jamie, I'd like to have some distinction between the season-long collages and the more traditional individual hunts.

From official rules...

Only videos filmed between the dates of January 31, 2005 and January 29, 2006 (last day of South Texas extended season) are eligible for the video challenge.

Need to check those dates, Michael.

Confused about the music? If I am reading the rule right we must have authorization to use the music, correct?

The music issue is pretty simple. You must have permission to use it.

We have allowed it in the past, but have changed it up for this year's challenge.
