Rut Predictions for your area

im thinking that this years rut is going to come early for me...Ive got 2 scrapes and bucks sparing and this cold weather here in west texas is kinda telling me that its going to be a cold one this year...thank god bean waitin for a cold one for a long time...

Coleman county seems to usually happen around the 2nd or 3rd week of November. But the last couple of years it has really seemed to drag out over a longer period of time making it hard to tell when the "rut" really kicks off.

We have some on the rut now in west texas... pecos, brewster counties

Mills county for me. We usually get rut around Thanksgiving or week before or after.

Our lease is in mills and comanche county and I would have to agree .We saw mature bucks locked up with does from the second weekend till thanksgiving last year.

LaSalle County-week before Christmas...........plum thru the middle of January.

The rut charts posted by TPWD seem to be pretty accurate for the Lake Jackson area.

saw a 4 point pushing a doe this morning and a nine point chasing a doe this evening around 3. Houston county

i seen a 4pt and spike chasing doe in hardin county already. no bull! i stuck 2 doe while being chased by 2 buck heavily
