I was going to head to the lease tonight but rain has been streaming over the lower panhandle and west texas all day. Anybody know how things are up there? I do not go into our lease when it rains. Just to slick for a 2 wheel drive.

May head up tomorrow if things improve.

Them roads up there can be slicker then snot. Be carefull. That is no place for a 2 wheel drive. I had a hard enough time in my 4x4.

I think I am headed up in the morning also. Looks like weather is moving east of there.

How are you agge1992??? There will be fewer trailers at the camp site. They put in extra water and electricity but we are back to just us.

Might want to get some tire chains. This was recommended to me by locals prior to my elk hunt in Co. last year and I was glad I had them. I also have a 2wd vehicle and the chains got me past quite a few steep, slick spots.

I'll definitely be carrying them with me on my panhandle hunts.

Go to the tire store and buy two of the cheapest MUD grips they have for the back of your truck, then put about 500-800lbs of something in the bed.......and don't lift!
