I believe my mom in law, in the picture above was a Proverbs 31 Woman! I will miss her dearly. She taught me a lot as she was in my life for 32 years, now in my heart forever. She went prom dress shopping with me, she was my 1st marriage counselor, my 1st home decorator and my 1st confidant of the matters of the heart. I was a quiet young girl when I met mom but around her I chattered a lot, not nervious chatter, I just liked talking to her. She was quiet and listened to what I had to say. She gave advice in ways I did not even realize I was getting advice. Looking back she groomed me to be a good wife to her son. She made sure I had all his favorite recipes (which I have yet to perfect). She told me never go to bed mad at each other. She told me to let him have those guy weekends. She knew her son better then I did, so why not take the advice! Next month will be 30 years for us, so I stand firm in saying "Mom, you advice worked". I am so going to miss our talks. I don't think anyone knows how many times you and I talked on the phone all these years. I started dialing your number after the 1st week Jeff and I began to date. I called you all during the wedding planning, I called you before and after each of the boys were born. When the wreck happened you jumped in there and took care of your boy again. I called you when my world was falling apart at times. You would calm me down and we would talk about The Fair and Pearls you were going to get that year. We talked religion and you said you were not religious but I knew better. You are a very spirit filled woman and each of us has learned something from you. Towards the end you taught me patience and humility. I went to you to hold your hand and you held mine.Last edited by Cat; 10-07-2009, 01:46 AM.
