help me am I thinking right

I have a small place 40 acers that I deer hunt on. My neibor who is also my brother has the same size place. He has a 13 year old son that starts shooting
just about time for the deer to start moving he shoots a shot gun at any thing that flys. Mess up my hunting. I get up set and tell he to have respect and not shoot when I am hunting my brother gets mad at me over it am I wrong. Thanks for any help

Technically if he is within the game laws of the state I think he is free to do as he chooses...I think.

If I am hunting on my property and shoot my rifle at a deer and it echoes off the hill and scares deer away from my neighbors set up 500 yards away can he really get mad at me?

Thats a tuff situation.I would be upset also but you might try talking to your brother to see if he would ask his son to wait until mid day to shoot.Hope it all works out.

gray area, but if he is shooting INTENTIONALLY to screw up your huntin it is "harassing a hunter" and IS illegal... We had an issue in Robertson Cty a coupl of years ago....

Okay, I will ask. How is he "not being a good hunter"? He is hunting, you are hunting...

If you at it as you neighbor is not your brother would you still be mad? You can just argue with peope for shooting on there own land, just keep hunting hard and it will pay off.

I think what he meant was that he's not being a good guy or a nice guy by being out shooting his shotgun when he knows you are hunting. That being said, you are correct....both folks are hunting, hard to fault anyone in that situation. Like was said before, if he KNOWS you are out there hunting and is just shooting to mess up your hunt, thats kinda BS, but hard to fault another hunter just cause they aren't hunting the same way you are. Tough one, I wish ya the best of luck working it out where both parties can enjoy their hunting rights.

This is where you are "wrong". He is not doing anything illegal. So all you can do is be polite and tell him your situation and hope he will be POLITE in return.

If you came and told my son what to do in that manner ON MY place, I'd make sure WE went hunting while you were hunting. Just sayin...

Well a good hunter wont be shooting everything that flies, he would shoot at only what he intends to eat. not just go kill everything

I guess I am wrong. But my Brothers boy killed his deer and I am glade for him even helped him get it out. I guess what bothers me is I showed him respect and made sure I was quite going in and out while he was hunting to make sure I didnt hurt his hunt.
I guess I just expect to much to be treated the same.
