Rifle Question..Browning X bolt or Remington CDL?

I am thinking about a new rifle and held a new X bolt am impressed but wondering if any one out there has one and if you like it. Trying to decide between X bolt or Remington CDL in 7mm-08.

    Thanks all.

Check out the Ruger Hawkeye in 7mm mag or 7mm-08...awesome gun and cheaper than Browning or Remington 700 series. I have the 7mm mag and absolutely love it!

I have a CDL in .221 fireball I got from Artos' dad and it's the nicest looking rifle I own.

Hard choice. One I had to make myself so I just gave in and got one of each.
The X-bolt is a 338 win mag and the CDL is a 300WSM laminated stock edition.
Both are excellent shooters @ 1/2 moa even with me shootin em.
Ignore the thumbhole Savage, it's a one holer

I meant to say a model 700 remington. I love it and it was my dad's before he gave it to me and it is over 40 years old and going strong.

If you are going to eventually customize the rifle or there is a possibility go with the 700. The Browning is hard to beat outta the box for accuracy, fit and trigger.

I would shoulder both a couple times and see what feels better. The Browning has a hump on the palm swell that you either love or hate.

Browning makes good guns but I prefer Remington 700s myself. It's a great platform and very accurate right out of the box.

I tend agree with the fact that either way you go, you won't be disappointed. Both are top quality arms makers and it probably comes downs to personal preference. I am a Remington man myself, I have a 700 LSS in .300 Win Mag and have never missed anything I have pulled the trigger at. I have supreme confidence in that gun and know that if I aim at something with it, its going down. I am sure there are a lot folks on there that feel the same way about their Brownings. You can't go wrong either way in my opinion.

Both are great guns, the Rem is a bit better looking gun in this format. I particularly dont like the magazine that drops out of the Xbolt, something in my mind to lose or drop in the mud at the most inconvenient time.

I'm kinda splitting hairs amigo but that one was actually the 700 classic where they come out with the limited cartridge every year...glad she got a good home, that gun shot wonderful. Still can't believe Pop parted with it.

I scoped and sighted in a basic black stocked 700 stainless in 7-08 not too long ago for a good buddy on the lease...the dang gun was so accurate, I didn't want to give it back.

It's preference, but the remmy is the direction I would point you.

I have an X-bolt in .25-06 and love it. No complaints. I would recommend the X-bolt to anyone shopping for a new rifle.
