    Ash's Cull

Made her pass up several 8pts in the 135-140 range on sat due to the rain,(will not let her bowhunt in rain, I wont either for that matter). So sun morning when it was still raining we grabbed the truck gun(Stag M 6) and went hunting with that. This buck was out in the food plot before it even got light and when we could see good enough to tell he was on the hit list she drilled him with a 62gr corelok ultra bonded out of the ar. Broke both shoulders and exited the 185lb buck.

She killed her first at age 5, killed 5 last year hunting by herself. Has 11 bowkills. Cant get her to do anything else other than shoot 3d. She is 11.

                        Ricky T,

If you mean by her using a gun, we have been Level III mld for about 8 years now and have turned our place into a super low fence property with almost 15000 acres with less than 50 guys on it.

Why do you not bowhunt in the rain? On our lease, I always see more animals when its raining or has been raining than just about any other time.

we hunted in the rain and seen 8 8pts sat evening, but have had bad luck in the past and this weekend with one of the other guys as well with no blood trails due to them being washed away. It was sure nuff flooding in Houston co sat evening between 3p.m. and dark. We got several inches in that time period. Didnt feel like having to grid search in the rain at night. It was too hot and we have too many coyotes to leave one over night. I love to hunt in a light mist and overcast days and just after a rain, but not a flood. Just dont like having the extra trouble of finding them in a flood in our plantation thickets or the better odds of not finding one.
