Fixed broadheads and pass thru netting

Any ideas about using pop ups with pass thru netting and fixed broadheads, good idea, bad idea, depends?
    Thanks,

Study after study show they open when passing thru netting. So, why shoot a weaker head/blade when the purpose is defeated? JMO!

      Fixed blade heads opening?
Those hogs are really getting to you, aren't they?

Leasecommander, do a quick search and you'll find many threads that discuss your question in detail.

It's just me but I don't want anything between my arrow and the target but air.

thats right , thats just one more thing to mess up your hunt or your arrow flying off or somthing to go wrong and you miss the shot of a life time. no netting . and it personal perferance on broad heads some people like fixed and some like mechincals.

I've practiced and tested mine a bunch over the years and still do for that matter.. I often set up my DB and practice shooting through the screen while sitting and make sure I shoot through all the angles..

The only deflection I've ever seen was when shooting at a hard angle through the screen... and the arrow still hit within 4” of my spot at 30 yards.. not satisfactory by any means so I make sure I set my blind up to avoid those angles..

Your bow blind is less than 20 yards from the feeder... and a nice straight shot through the mesh. As close as the blind is, I think it's prolly better to leave the mesh up than to pull it down. Testing is a great idea though.

I have had nothing but success with this method.

I shot a doe this morning thru the mesh at 25 yards. Killed several this way. I wouldn't do it over 35 yards or so but works great under that yardage.

Yeah I think his fixed blade is no issue at that yardage. I sat that blind last week at sunset. If I'd had the mesh down, the does woulda blown me for sure. It's only like 16 yards. Can't stand up, but there is plenty of room to draw on his tripod chair right through the mesh.
