    Question for duck hunters

This morning on the stand I had three ducks land on the slough behind me just after daybreak. There were two wood ducks and some kind of brown colored duck. One of the wood ducks and the brown one chased the other wood duck all morning up and down the slough slapping the water with there wings and making some kind of wierd noice. Needless to say I didn't see any deer with all the noise they were making. I can't figure out if they were trying to mate or just didn't want it on there hole. Has anyone else ever expierenced this. I'm packing some rocks on the next trip! It's usualy squirrel's ruining my hunt and now ducks!

This noise is bothering you more than the deer....throwing the rocks will move more deer out than you think....

Two drakes and a hen is my bet. If I am not mistaken wood ducks mate for life with the same duck. Sounds like the other drake was trying to butt in....

Yes, the deer would care less less they are out there all the time with nature. You did not see deer because there were no deer to be seen saturday, not because a duck scared them off. Hope that next week goes better for you.

The way the acorns were falling in the water they would not know the difference. I was joking about throwing rocks. I've hunted this spot for several years and the ducks are always there, just never had seen this before.
