I shot out of my pop-up pre-season quite a bit - both kneeling down and sitting on a bucket chair. Right before the season started, I decided I wanted a "more comfortable" seat, so I put a cheap "hunting chair" made for ground blinds according to the manufacturer, in my blind. I shot out of the blind with it while in jeans, and it was fine.
This weekend though, during the Saturday morning hunt in the rain, every time I moved a half inch sitting in it with my hunting camo on, it made noise. In the inside of the blind, it made a LOT of noise. I'm not sure how well that noise is heard by deer outside of the blind, but I don't like it one bit.
So now I have a delima that I need to change quick. I need a comfortable chair to sit all day if need be, but not something that makes a nylon to nylon scratch sound when I move.
I also contemplated just bringing a dark green terry cloth towel that I've washed in the scent free washing detergent with me to lay on the current chair, hoping the terry cloth towel will deaden the sound.
Thoughts???
All the best,
Glenn
