    American Hunter analog feeder.

It didn't feed this morning the battery is an energizer and is just two weeks old. I can hear the clock ticking and the time was correct. The little pushpin had gone past the switch that trips it. I turned it by hand and it fed on the morning and evening time. Why won't it do it by itself?

There is a AA battery that runs the clock and a 6V batt that runs the slinger. When you tripped it by hand did it make any noise at all?
You may have just gotten a bad 6V battery, even though its new it may have been a bad one.

Yes it fed. I haven't changed the AA yet, it's the batt that came with it. The clock seemed to be on time.

Know how you feel as last week I was at the lease and feeder goes off and 10 pigs shows up. I didnt have a gun with me but at 25 yrds son shot one with a crossbow.

So this weekend we show up and had a gun this time and guess what the feeder didnt go off digital timer went bad as it keeps saying jammed. Put a new motor in it same thing, so now opening day started out bad.

The AA battery is weak and wont trip the switch as I had one do the same.

Replaced the 2aa battery and it still didn't feed! I checked the battery and it showed to be good. I will go to Cabela's Wednesday and get another one.

go get "The Timer" you will not have any more problems. Just change it out with your analog. It runs on AA but while hooked to the motor battery it runs off of it.

                      DON'T DO IT!!!!
                      AH's stuff is JUNK!!!
I have 2 of their timers and it eats a new battery in about 2 weeks. Then, once the battery is weak, it just "clicks" about a full turn continuously till the feeder is completely empty!! I sent AH a e-mail if there was a fix for this. After the 2nd e-mail, they finally responded. They gave me 2 numbers to call, but after 2 weeks of nuthing but a busy signal, I chunked them and just went and bought a replacement of a different brand. They have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

You might have a TEXAN try to get it to work!!! But really, I finally invested in some high dollars timers and have not had a single problem. I didn't want to spend $140 per timer but it was well worth the investment

You can get "The Timer" from west texas feeder supply. They run around $75.

We started out with Spin-Cast timers, then gradually replaced them with either Texas Hunter products or On-Time products. Simpler, and stout as can be. Spin cast always bumfuzzled me--I'd not leave them on the correct setting and go back the next week and they would not have fed. Finally had to put a white label on them with instructions for me.

I've had good luck with them in the past. I guess I got a bad one. I hate changing brands and have to re-drill all the holes and stuff.
