Anybody coming through Austin on Hwy 71 today get ready. Traffic in Austin is heavier than usual today due to the ACL festival. On top of that there is construction on 71/290W (Ben White) at Brodie Ln that has two lanes closed on the west bound side. Yesterday at rush hour it wound up backed up all the way across town to I-35. It's half way there now. There is no real good way to get around it but William Cannon may be better. If at all possible don't hit Austin anywhere around rush hour. (4pm-7pm)
Be careful on the road and good luck this weekend.

yep I work right there and it is a mess. If you are coming in on 71 try and get down to WM Cannon and shoot across.

You are right on the money there. I have to get through this mess from east Austin to Bee Cave to get home this evening. Ridiculous!

just be thankful there is no game in town this weekend, an extra couple of thousand extra out of towners trying to get to the hotels in that area always mess things up
