My bow season started at 5:30 this a.m.
... Louisiana (other parts of the State started on 9/16)
sat on stand for til 9:30 and saw 3 doe and 2 yearlings which still had spots
they fed on browse 25 yds from my stand as i gave 'em a pass
it was great to be in the woods as temps were in the mid 60's
sadly, I have to go in to the office for afternoon paperwork

Blake my ******* cousin and another good hunting buddy came to town yesterday. They went with my dad to his lease in San Saba in search of some dove, squirrel, and hopefully a pig or two! He's not a bow hunter, and he comes back over for 3-4 days during our deer season. Then we get to go there for several days of duck/dove hunting later in the year! Glad you got to go hunt! I can't wait to get out there!Comment
