Will be hunting on Howard county, in north central Missouri. Just got back from there and saw plenty of doe and turkey. Fawn crop was excellent and they have plenty to eat. Saw 3 spikes but not a single buck other than the spikes. Anyone hunt there? If so when does the rut generally occur?

Nov. 4 through the 15th seems teh be about the best time to be there from all the research I did 2 years ago before I went. If you watch almost any Drury video, those dates will also mimic alot of their prime times. -

I don't hunt North Central MO but I hunt SE Nebraska and you can bet your *** I will be in treestand the first 2 weeks in November. I would imagine those first 2 weeks in Nov are prime time for your area as well.Comment

I like hunting pre rut around Halloween. I seem to see the most deer. Check out the moon phases and go from there.Comment

I hunt Nodaway county (NW Missouri..) Usually see full on rut starting around the 10th to the 20th. They usually start chasing around the 1st of November but really start running the does on/around the 10th... GL hunting the big North Missouri bucks!Comment

I make the 750 mile trip every year to Callaway County and I make sure my plans are to be there from Nov 1st thru the 15th, the last few years this period has been prime time. Good Luck, great state to hunt in.Comment

I have been hunting about an hour southeast of Kansas City the last few years and the rut has been very strong from about November 9th through the 14th. Good luck!Comment
