i wax every after every 3rd or 4th practice session. That's roughly 90-150 shots. During hunting season, it depends on the weather, etc. If it's been raining/drizzling on the strings they get cared for a little more than normal.

As far as restringing them. If I'm shooting a lot, once a year. If work or other family obligations get in the way and I don't shoot much then once every 2 years. I usually restring in Jan/Feb. That way I go through the 3D season with a new set and by the time season gets here, they are well broken in and there's no more setting/stretching on the string.
