    Continuing Education

Anybody have any toothpicks you can bring by? I need to prop my eyes open. Trying to hammer out some online CE. I just have 6 weeks or so to get it completed. Procrastinated this time (worse than normal). Insurance CE is about as boring as it gets.....

I doubt there is any CE that's not boring as all get out. I have to keep up with insurance, securities industry exam every few years, firm-specific CE, and CFP CE. None of them are fun, but the insurance stuff is just boring as heck. I've been taking insurance CE for 20 years now, and it's always the same. Hate that stuff.

I know what you mean. I have to take 30 hours of Insurance Adjusting CE every two years and it can be a huge beating. I've taken some of the online coarses and I think they are worse than the live coarses. Funny thing is, is that it's the same material year after year.

Shane, I'm doing 16 hours of Funeral Directing CE online also. Man this sucks. Every 2 years I have to have 16 hours. It's worse than sitting in a classroom and getting the hours. Good luck!

Are you sure you need it. We were told that after 20yrs being licensed you did not need to take it anymore. You may want to check TDI's website. But I feel you. I have to do it too and it gets boring.

Pharmacy CE isn't any better. The common cold didnt change in the past 2 years and they didnt make a cure. The government tells me everything I need to know about the epidemic flu emergency through the media (a joke). Who needs CE.... if you do it all online, get some colleagues together and share answers.

Half of the insurance CE has to be "classroom equivalent", which means the software walks you through one page at a time and gives you random test questions at the end of each section. There is no way to just go to the test, put in your answers and pass it in a few minutes. The other half I can do that on, but the classroom equivalent stuff really sucks.

It's better than sitting through the hours in an actual classroom. At least I can bounce back and forth between CE and TBH.
