Getting Ready In Ohio (short slideshow)

My son and I have been running feeders, and dumping other feed for the deer around here for a few weeks now. Today we spent a few hours putting up blinds and cutting shooting lanes. Here's a short slideshow from today. Just click the pic!
The deer in the pics were from tonight after the blind was set up. They were about ten yards from the blind. I was a fare distance away testing out my new camera. I could have used a tripod for better pics.

A buddy and and I have watched deer on our corn two nights in a row now.

Pretty stoked about hunting out of the Double Bull Blinds. They sure blend in. Them deer tonight got thier first look at the blind, and paid no mind to it.

Can't wait for next Saturday! My son Zach has been shooting his recurve everyday, and would love to get his first bowkill out of one of those setups.

I'll keep yall posted on the outcome.

Love to see some of yalls setups.

[I] hunted up there on my Uncle's place a couple years ago. I was amazed at how big those deer are. The first doe that came out look like it would weigh in @ 150lbs.
                    I need to get back,

Good luck and the set ups look great

Where abouts will you be hunting at? I'm up in the north east corner. Maybe we could get together for a beer after a hunt.

You ain't lying about the heavy deer. There's some real brutes in Ohio. It's not uncommon to see 200 plus getting checked in. Heck they even have heaviest doe contests around here!

Well good luck to all of you. We are less than a week away now!

Went out a few minutes ago and seen five deer on the corn. I left the bino's and camera at home, but it looked like does and fawns.

We also went and bought a gravity feeder so we can quit carrying corn back there everyday.

AS soon as dinner is over, I'm going to put it together.

Scio is where I will be hunting. I printed off my OH licenses. OH DNR sure makes it easy to purchase non-resident hunting licenses.
