where to stay in San Antonio?

when we go we always stay at the menger hotel. it is a nice old hotel. it is right next to the alamo and next to the rivercenter mall.

I am sure there are more. Never stayed there myself.

We stayed at the Oge' House on the Riverwalk. It was great, but they did not allow kids when we were there. I know it's changed ownership, so maybe they changed their policies too.

It was a very nice place to stay.

Marriott on the riverwalk is a nice place.

Make sure you hit the mexican market and to Mi Teirra's great food and good mexican bakery

Ive stayed there twice, 2 blocks of the riverwalk, it its nice hotel at a great price. Room was a touch small and had road noise. But it was right for the price. It was good enough that i went back

Either of the Drurys are great. They have free booze in the evening and free breakfast. They both have roof top pools and hot tubs. Not the cheapest but very nice.

Gunter is definitely historic but they aren't gonna be as plush as some others...the hotel hasn't been renovated in forever...

We stay at the Hotel Contessa on the riverwalk and it is a top notch hotel, although it is on the opposite end of the riverwalk from all the fun stuff.

The Holiday Inn Riverwalk. Its a older Hotel so its situated with a excellent spot on the Riverwalk. The inside is remodeled and comfortable. Just be sure and request the RIVERVIEW. We were on the 18th floor when we went in July for our 20th anniversary. No complaints at all. And be sure to go to Cafe Ole' on the riverwalk for a large Swirl. Well worth it. And have a great time.
