East Tx rut 2016
I've hunted east Texas for 30 yrs and like a lot have said it varies year to year. This year in rusk county most of the chasing is about over. Maybe have a few more days. Texas parks and wildlife uses the moon phase to help predict rut activity and they are always close but a lot of other factors come into effect each year. The rut here is longer and more sporatic than in most other Texas regions. My most successful hunting has always been first two weeks of October and November. Good luck!
