    HELP! Bow tuning experts

I just had my bow restrung and got it sighted in but my vanes are now hitting the rest in flight. I am using a quicktune dropaway rest and 2" blazer vanes. One vane is hitting the base of the quicktune rest (not the tongs) when I shoot. Is my nock rest/loop too low? Everything was shooting fine before I had it restrung.

I suspect that your nock point is too low.

could it be that my peep site is too low? How would that affect the arrow flight?

Are you shooting the cock vane up? It sounds like you are turning it down. You will gain clearance with this off colored vane up.

Is your rest comming up in the last 1"-2" of the draw or is it coming up sooner?

Rest timing could be off due to cable replacement or due to cam not being timed the same as before.

Peep will effect sites and anchor point but will NOT effect arrow flight.

this would be my guess the rest is out of time, not an issue with the new strings but the way the rest was tied to the new set.

                Have your knock position changed.

When the string and cable was replaced was the bow put back into speck? Axel to axel, brace height etc.?

nock position may have changed. took it back to the bow shop and they are not sure what is wrong but looks like the cams are not in tune and may be the wrong strings were put on. left it there for them to figure out. hopefully it will be back soon. season is coming fast!

Just my opinion..and it ain't worth much...I had nothing but tuning problems out of my NAP dropaway. I had a few different bow techs try to fix it. I finally gave up and bought a Trophy Taker and never had any problems.

But I know people that haven't had problems with 'em so I probably just wasted all this typing.

i have not had any problems until now but my bowshop did say they are not the best when it comes to contact from arrows.

Got to be timed correctly or you get horrible nock travel... nock travel will slam your arrow into the rest.
