    Bow shopping..where to go??

I've owned the same bow for 9 years and STILL shoot well with it but decided it's time to upgrade. I want a Guardian, where can a I a good deal on one?

I'll second Archery Country, north Austin near 183 and Burnet. Great bunch of guys. Try not to show up at the noon hour though, they can get really busy around then.
Pretty sure they had a Guardian or two on the shelf last week.

Absolutely Archery Country, without a doubt.

Don't worry about the noon hour, though, they've got a staff there that will make sure that everyone gets taken care of.

They even have been heard to have a bowtek on the shelf from time to time.....if Epack hasn't bought them all, that is.

I gotta throw my $.02 worth about Archery Country in Austin. I walked in there three years ago without ever shooting a bow. I didn't know squat. (The only reason I went there was the guy at Academy gave me a tip....get the bow that is right for you at an archery shop, have them set it up and tune it, that's the only way to go). So I go into Archery Country and the salesperson helped me get into a "entry level" bow. What I really appreciated was that nobody there tried to make me feel like an idiot newbie. I left there feeling good about their customer service....and that's very unusual these days. They are very customer oriented and helpful. I've since upgraded to a Switchback and who knows....if I get lucky at black jack again, I may have to try a Drenalin. I gotta say though, I wish they would get some more of those good caps....I've got two people hounding me for one.
This isn't an advertisement...it's a real life experience. Ray

Absolutely, Go to Archery Country in NW Austin, I walked in last year as a first time bow buyer, and they let me shoot different bows, recommending why some were better than others. They rigged my bow up at no extra cost, even though i bought all the equipment from Cabelas. Great guys, great buy!

By the way, I got a Matthews Switchback XT, very smooth!

I will second the "Great guys, great buy" statement for sure. They have always treated me well.
Unless you already have other equipment, give them a shot at providing everything you need. I have always found their prices to be very close to the department type sports stores.
The customer service that they provide is WELL worth any difference I have ever noticed.
