Deerplanter - send pictures - I fly continental a bunch.

Bill - What day, 23rd or 28th? And I doubt any jihadists carry a skinned pig with them before they do something bad (leave the knife at home in SJ). There aren't any shops or anything at C or even D outside of the check points as far as I know. The hotel is the only thing I can think of.

Well it's looking like Tim and I will finally meet in Houston next Monday

After speaking with my brother, there is no family get together where the whole pig will work out, so I'm backing 2 pig backstraps, 2 teal, a mallard and 2 sprig to take east.

            I'm logging off!

Well, it was a short visit, but I got to meet Tim in Houston airport.

Here's the posts from the Eternal Flame thread where Tim originally posted the picture.

Bill sends me a text while taxiing to the jetway that he is in terminal E. I hit the underground tram and ride from C to E to meet up. He calls me and says he standing at the door looking at park and ride busses. I can't see him anywhere and I am standing at the door looking out. I get him to ask someone what terminal he is in and they tell him C. Seems the stewardess gave him some bad info though. I tell hi to sit tight and I head back to the tram. As I ride up the escalator to baggage claim in C I see Bill standing there with luggage at his feet. I'll let Bill tell that story when he gets home and sees this one.

We head over to the Marriot via the tram and have some lunch and talk about hunting, fishing, hunting, and eating. After a good hour or so we head back to C to send Bill on his way. We grabbed a passerby to take the all necessary TBH photo op. No pics, it didn't happen!
Had a great time Bill. Till the next time we meet!

I like Bill's phone, it has the weight reduction feature on the camera!

I'm looking around for Tim, and he says to stay-put where I am and he'll take the tram around to where I am. While I'm waiting there for him, I look at one of the luggage carosels I'm standing by, and my checked 2 bags come down the shoot and start going around the thing- and I checked 'em all the way home to San Jose. Some numbnutz in Houston took my roller bag and a cardboard box off the arrviing plane, and instead of routing them to the SJ flight, sent them to some baggage carosel in Houston. If I'd not gotten a little lost trying to find Tim, I'd have gotten home without my luggage, which included my laptop. The cardboard box had my Lionel trains from childhood packed inside it from my Mom's house. Somehow the box almost magically 'appeared' in her basement amongst all the other old 'junk' that has gathered there over the years, and has been picked-over and selectively removed by my brothers and myself. I know the trains were not there the last time I visited my Mom- it's a mystery to me, but the trains are now in my garage in SJ.

              Glad it all worked out.

PS, I KNOW there is better food in Houston than what we ate in the Marriott at the airport- with the waitress from Detroit serving lunch
Now I know, without a picture, I can't tell the story about the young lady with the 6" high spike high heels and black skirt I was going up the escalator behind in the Port Authority building when I did a quick visit to New York City on Sunday morning (in the rain) to go to church at Saint Patricks Cathedral.
