I don't know if anything like this has been passed on, but just in case it hasn't, here is a little tip for ya'.
A few years ago, when I first started using cameras, I would go into the woods, remove the card, drive a short distance home, download the pics, return, replace the card and be done.
Then I bought a extra card - easy fix. Should have done it earlier. Replace one with the other, and drive home. Easy.
One day, while out swapping cards on the way home from work, I didn't bring my little plastic card holder with me. Not wanting to misplace it, damage it, etc... I tried to find somewhere to put it. Hey. I've got my HP Ipaq with me. So I put it in the card slot. The Ipaq came on, and I was suddenly looking at pics off my card - right there in the field.
Now, I know there are some cameras that allow you direct feed at home, some that allow you to read from the camera, and devices you can buy to read your card in the field. However, if you already have an Ipaq or similar handheld PDA, you have a ready picture viewer you can bring with you in the woods.
Just thought I'd pass that on, just in case any of my fellow TBH'rs can use it.
All the best,
Glenn
