Best Value in Everyday COMFORTABLE Cowboy Boots?

I am starting a new job in a nice Dallas office on October 1. I have saved some money for new dress clothes (I HATE ties, dressing up, etc.) and think that jeans & boots will be just fine, provided they are clean & neat.

I have one pair of cowboy boots (hey, cut me some slack, I grew up in metro Detroit). They are OK and I love the way they look but in the summer, they can get hot as... well, you know.

I am on the hunt for a nice pair of boots (or two) and some good socks that will work all year round, if possible. I knew that you Texans would have some good suggestions, so let 'er rip...

Well, they are pretty much like like anyother boot, they do get somewhat hot, but I really don't notice that much. like I said as far as comfort these are perfect, and these also fit me better than ariats, but i did find several pair of ariats like I liked to!

twsisted x makes some affordable boots that are very comfortable.....i have some on right now actually.

i also have a pair of tony lama USTRCA boots that feel like house shoes, but i need to get them resoled.

Rocky makes some surprisingly comfortable boots, but kind of funny looking soles....

I have a pair of Double H's that I bought about a month ago. They are by far the most comfortable boots I have ever had.

Anything but Ariat. Ariats are made in CHINA !!!! No way in hell will I wear a pair of Cowboy boots made in CHINA That's just wrong on every level
