I have been getting my eyes really messed up trying to mow and grade the ranch down here during the 2nd year of extreme drought, every year we usually run out and mow all the roads and senderos and reshape the bar ditches, anyways, I need a lens maker who could take my perscription and fit it into a set of glasses like these with the side hood. I still ride horseback and drive the tractor with 15 foot Rhino batwing shredder and the Cat 16 motorgrader. Needless to say, tons of pollen and dust is hitting my eyes and making me water itch and cuss. I used to get ray ban shooters and remove the dark sunglasses lens and get a lens maker/frame seller to grind and install custom lens with the wrap around shooter type ray ban lens. The place i got them made has gone out of business. I need a pair of frame with the side hood sheild to keep out dust but be perscription as well. I would also like to ask fourm members what type of glasses frames and custom sunglasses they are wearing to hunt. I would try anything at this point. Any shop in san antonio austin corpus victoria that you have got something similar made??? I have wondered if there is a mono lens in perscription with no side pieces and just a strap made for hunting?? I always lose my glasses to tree limbs or something seems like. If you have any idea or just post the type of hunting perscription glasses you like and where you got them please post up!! Thanks in advance.

What kind of bike is that in your avatar? Sorry, no help here with the glasses. -
have you thought of wrap arounds like the Oakleys? They can do alot of different color lenses and many styles of wrap around so you don't have to use side shields. Do you have a DOD ID of any sort...if so big discounts. PM for more info.Comment

New one is $6000 and tons on craigs list and ebay, ifs its really muddy it will go in and out and between a lot of stuff 4x4's cant pass thru due to width or height, i think they have a dealer in san antonio not sure though, they knocking off $1000's on overstocks since the ecomony crashed, they make a bumper rack deal where you can load it by ones self easy even if you have a bad back like me, most are up in the Pacific northwest to go hunting on public lands, after season prices drop and 2 trip bikes. Not street legal alas and only go about 30 mphComment
