    Hunting Hogs from Hirack trucks????

Was wondering if anybody was hunting hogs out of the top of a truck or jeep mounted hi rack, do you ever hunt at night with it and what are the dislikes and likes of this type of hunting, please coment if you have used a crossbow and what kind of site it has if you have been darting hogs from the top. I have one of those hi racks from that guy off of I 35, think its a Blackwell Welding 2 seater, its a little to small and I am thinking about building a 4 person one that fills up the top of the whole bed and hangs over the cab some, anybody got a rig like this or would hunt something like this for kicks. I have a lot of land and alsways see hogs coming and going that never get shot at on the way into the ranch and have been thinking about how to hunt them, its impossible to try to shoot them with a crossbow loaded in the cab of my 2007 truck, by the time i grab the bow and load nothing but hog dust remains!!!

I used to high rack hogs at night with an M-16. That was LOTS of fun.

Catching a herd of hogs at night in a plowed cornfeild with kc daylighters and 20 rounds clips is a ton of fun, most people love to spray lead at the porkchops and make bacon bits!!lol I am just trying to figure out a way to try to cut down on hogs in the 60 foot easement i drive in and out of 12 miles everday day, the hogs are such pests nobody cares as long as nobody is shooting guns on the easement. I cant use a bow by the way, have a mediport in my shoulder, the horton 175 i have been shooting is killing hogs at 40 yards and down, they dont go far if i can get a good hit on them, if i lose the hog or dont have time to look for it I go back after feeding the horses and then look with the terriers and turn loose a find dog, he will go and bark if he finds the wounded or dead hog and lead me to it, used to be hunted in a foxhound pack and is really smart about lost or wounded game of any kind.
