    So, Maybe I'm a Little Wierd...First License

The kiddos and I ventured out to our local Walmart, where you'll always find the lowest prices on the brands you trust...always, to get our 2009-2010 resident hunting licenses. I opted, of course, for the Super Combo while the kiddos simply needed a hunting license, their FIRST hunting license.

Thinking back on my years of hunting, and remembering having to sign my name on what seemed like a bazillion tags when my Dad took me to Gibson's to get my license, it seems to me that this is a bit more momentous occasion than we give it credit. So...I took the camera!!!

Today, I'm a dork to my kids. In 30 years, I'm confident they'll appreciate the fact that I took a camera into a Walmart to capture what I hope "was" a big day for them.

With their licenses procured, and their copies of the "Outdoor Annual" filed away for safe keeping, my work here is done.
