I hunt the very southern tip of the county right off the river.

i dont know the official name i go through the guy who has been leasing for the last 25 years but i can tell you that it is down that county road to get to the canyon of the eagles its about 2.5 miles down that way

all i know is live on delaware springs golf course, lots of rattlers, and some decent bucks

I hunted for quite a few years in the Smithwick area.....great hunting, beautiful and rugged country. It was a hunter's dream. I'll spare you the details of why I no longer hunt there.
I live in Burnet County (Granite Shoals) and the deer are thick....even in town. They have jumped my back fence numerous times and are stripping my fruit trees.
The area around Canyon of the Eagles is prime hunting.....you are lucky to have a lease there and should do well.

There aren't any ranges I'm aware of other than KCs west of Austin and Archery Country on 183 in Austin. I practice 20 and 30 yds. (discreetly) in my backyard. My neighbor lets me shoot from his yard if I want to shoot 40 yds.

cool my mma gym is beside archery country, but man that is a long way. i just moved here 2 weeks ago, the neighbors havent warmed up enough to let me shoot yet, i am working on them though

hey man, just join hill country bowhunters and youll have a place to shoot all the time, its right at 183 and 29 and you can go there whenever as a member.

Ya, you are going to be covered up in pigs. I run dogs on 3 properties down that road right at CR113. There are some gooduns too. Big bodys and big teeth.

Behind the municipal airport is the county fair grounds. There is plenty of area out there. It is underutilized and I seriously doubt that anyone would say anything. Heck, I held a bay competition out there.... No one cared.
