The Wal-mart incident regarding a Georgia man hitting a strangers 2 year old child 4 times across the face because the baby was crying got me to thinking about Texas CHL law and how would I react.

I would have informed him that I am a CHL holder and if he touched my child I would use the necessary force to prevent him from injuring my child.

If he did not heed the warnings, would you be justified in shooting him because you were in fear for your child's life?

I think adrenalin would have taken over and he would have gotten a broke nose, busted lip, couple of black eyes and maybe a broke rib or two. Just saying!

The only thing he would be getting "informed" by would be my knuckles. No CHL required.

I have on numerous occasions would have liked to slap the parents. But, I would never lay a hand on their child. A sever case of butt wuppin' would occur if that happened.
