    Moultrie Power Pack??

Anybody have one of these hooked up to your camera? What do you think of them. Are they any good?

Worth every penny! I would pay more but shuu dont tell them. It saves a lot of money. but you may want to get at least a 2gig card. You can get a pack of 2x 2g cards for $20.

You still need to put 6 D bateries in it and conect it. But it will last forever. It comes with an extra conector i had to use it on my D40. and make sure you twist it in real tight, it has a very tight fit due to the thick rubber to make it weather proof.

Power panels rock! They have already paid for themselves and I have only had them out for 7 months

Do you have to put batteries in the camera or does the power pack come with internal batteries?

but you do have to put D batteries in the camra as well. if for some reason your camra takes 100 pics in one night and it is real dark over cast the next day it will still work.

I have one and The Power pack works great. I've had it out for about 3 months and and the camera has taken over 3000 pics and the internal batteries are still at 99%. You could easily make one cheaper by buying a 12v feeder battery, small 12v solar panel from Academy and plug from radio shack. I will be making my next one. Another option if your camera is mounted in the shade is to buy 2 12v feeder batteries and plug and then just swap out the 12v battery when it gets low and you wont have to buy any more batteries.

Someone already asked, but do you still have to put the D batteries in the camera?

How many batteries does it take? This is very important to know because it will tell you the voltage the camera runs on.
