What is the age requirement for a licence for kids to dove hunt? More like stand next to me and try to hit one.

Kids license is $6. You may need to add a migratory stamp for him too.

as long as he hunts with a licensed hunter he will not have to have one till he is 16 years old. You can get him a license if he can shoot. this will give him the chance to get his own. I got my 7 year old one last year and this and he loves it. Get him one and take him hunting. Good luck.

Be sure and check the HIP box in addition to the youth hunting license. Hip Certification is required if you hunt any migratory birds. The youth hunting license is only $7.00. They will mail you your licenses in just a few days but you can print the receipt and hunt in the morning.

I just purchased my super combo, my wife's hunting license and Upland bird stamp (for turkey hunting) and my grandson's youth license online tonight. Took about 10 minutes.

Beats the heck out of standing in line at Walmart.

Valid for any person, resident or non-resident, under 17 years of age at the date of license purchase. Exempt from state stamp requirements. License and state stamp exemptions remain valid for the entire license year.

A hunting license is required of any person, regardless of age, who hunts any animal, bird, frog or turtle in this state (except furbearers, if the hunter possesses a trapper's license). No license is required for nuisance fur-bearing animals, depredating hogs or coyotes (see below). Non-residents under 17 years of age may purchase and hunt with the Youth Hunting License (Type 169).

Swat nailed it. No stamps needed for kids under 17, but they do need the youth license.

Get him some ear plugs and eye protection and lots of drinks and snacks and be ready to leave sooner then you want to(maybe) and take that boy bird hunting.( Only if its very controlled and safe. Not a bunch of people.) He will never forget it!!
