    New Bow Advice

So I am looking at new bows to hunt with this year. I have shot and like the Bowtech Admiral, Mathews DXT, and the Mathews Reezn 7.0. All seem to be very quality bows and to be honest, I could be happy with any or all of them. Based on that it seems to be coming down to most bang for the buck. What are some of you guys opionions? Any reccommendations on where I can buy to get the good deal?

The other thing on my mind is that a Bowtech dealer told me this morning that he believes he will have the 2010 Line in mid to late October. Should I wait?

Nope...buy a Mathews now and don't look back.

Truth be told you are doing it the right way. Get out and shoot as many as possible then make a choice. I've been shooting Mathews for 5yrs, total of 4 different models, and have been happy with each one. So far my favs are the two I shoot now. A Switchback and Switchback XT. Looking for a DXT to try out in the not so distant future.

I think you have to decide on the bow brand for yourself. Bowtech & Mathews both have top notch customer retention, service and warranties.

Where to get the good deal?? I would buy from your local dealer. Prices vary between shops, but you need to support your local man. If we don't, well the big box stores will be the only place to get the high end bows and customer service will immediately take a hit. Service/Sales from your local shop always feels more personable. I've learned that over the last year or so.

Try them all, you can't go wrong with Matthews, Hoyt or Bowtech. Truth be told, the technology is so good now that the differences between them are tiny, despite the extended arguements we all indulge in! I like Bowtech, but if someone gave me a matthews or a Hoyt, I'd still shoot it, and probably recommend on of them in 3 months!!

Wait for the new ones to come out.....prices on the old ones will drop as well

Dont limit yourself to just the 2 brands you listed....there are several brands that are equal to them also

I would shoot as many as possible. Its real easy to get caught up in some of the advertisements that you see. I've owned a couple of Mathews, 1 Hoyt, and 2 Bowtech Tributes. I've gotten rid of everything except the Tributes. The Tributes just seem to fit me better than the other ones that I've owned. I would also checkout a Strothers bow I believe North Texas Archery will have them sometime in Sept. Good luck with your search.

From what I've heard the prices on this years aren't going to drop, but the prices on next years bows increase. Could be just a rumor though.

IMO, you won't find a smoother shooting bow than the Admiral. Zero handshock.

                      That's funny.
I pulled back what new offers my shop had in stock & left completely happy with my Tribute.
My bows performance is not the limiting factor to my success .

I'd add the Elite brand to the mix when bowshopping.
