Mule deer hunt - camo pattern

    Guys

I will be hunting Mule Deer in the Brewster County at the End of October.

Since I am in the Military I have some Arid (Desert) uniform. Do you think the pattern will work or should I get some Mossy Oak Brush or Seclusion Open Country?

I hunt north of Van Horn...

and any of the brush style camo patterns will work. The desert digital patterns work very well also. I have used Cabela's seclusion 3D in the cedars as well as Cabela's outfitter camo as well. My favorite is the King's camo in the Mountain Shadow. Her's a few pics to give you an idea.

The lighter the camo the better. I think you will love what you will have for a desert mule deer hunt.

What you have will be just fine for the hunt. Deer are color blind and don't see 3D. The 3D patterns in camo is for humans so we will buy it.

Some of the best camo out there deer's eyesight is the
Sitka Gear's Optifade. Notice how it's a digital type pattern also and through that link you can find links describing the science they used in developing that pattern.
