We used All-Pro for my mothers house in Argyle (just north of dfw airport). Her soil is pretty sandy and we actually thought the house was sinking in the back, but come to find out it was heaving up in the middle. They arrived on time, finished the work in 1 day and had an onsite manager all day and then one of the owners showed up in the afternoon to supervise the lifting. Only issue we had is they dug up 6 shrubs to get to the foundation, they re-planted them and 1 died. They probably would have replaced it but they did such a good job I let it go. She has cracks that were 2-3 inches wide in her exterior brick.....all sealed back up. She had cracks in her sheetrock, all almost sealed.

IF the cracks are that large, I would have an engineer not associated with a foundation co look at it to determine the extent of movement. The cracks should be larger at the top. All slabs move. All concrete cracks though these cracks should be only surface cracks. Controlling the moisture content of soil around the slab helps control this.

We paid $9500 and they installed 23 piers. There is a per pier charge and they will also use one of 3 methods to fix your foundation. They have a very inexpensive method, middle of the road and then top dollar. He did not even offer us the top dollar, told us that we needed basic piers installed and told me how many and how much. The first quote was almost $11,000 but we negotiated it down. Yes, we got a lifetime warranty.

Call Advanced Foundation and ask for Brad Bertelsen. My Dad owns an engineering firm and we investigate foundation movement in regards to plumbing leaks. Some insurance companys offer coverage due to plumbing leaks if they are below slab. They hire engineers to determine if the leaks caused the problem. Brad worked for us for over 15 years and so he is no jo blow who sells piers. He knows about soils and soil mechanics by working with us.
