    Help from the braintrust needed...

Went to the lease this weekend to check the cameras and top off the feeders. I have pics off pigs, but no deer. The weird thing is, there are deer tracks around and inside the feed pen. I am going to expand the pen this weekend by adding about 50 or so feet of barbed wire. Is the D40 the issue with the pics? Anyone else dealt with something like this?

Just realized that I am on my wife's laptop, will post pics of the pork tomorrow...

I had the same thing happen to me. If you have a BUNCH of pigs, the deer will stop trying to compete with them for the corn. Atleast that was the case at my feeder. That's why this year I put up panels to keep the pigs out. By the way, how do you know you are seeing deer tracks and not adolescent pig tracks? Just wondering

It's a no brainer that they are deer tracks. Pointed hoof, there are even a couple of tracks with them separated at the toe like they are running.

Here are a few of the hog pics and a day-time pic of the pen. I am sure that the pen is too small. Gonna expand it this weekend to atleast twice the size. Also one of the rain for south texas boys Oh, and one for smart

Recently pulled my card and had mostly pigs in pictures. My guess is that there is plenty out there for the deer to eat right now and I suppose it's possible that the hogs are camping out near my feeder which would keep the deer away. I am going to take steps to convince the hogs that they probably shouldn't camp near my feeders any more.
