stuck an arrow in a tree

and just bought them yesterday. Pretyt happy about it.

It's got a field point, but I've got no clue on how to get it out of the tree

SUGGESTIONS? It's a full metal jacket, so the aluminum may help.

15 bucks sitting in my tree where i can see it from my living room and I can't get it out. What kind of s**t is that?

See highlighted portion of my signature....

then spin test it to be sure that it isn't bent from the shot or the pull.

You can either cut it out with a knife or chisel or sometimes you can unscrew the point... actually the aluminum makes it more difficult.. they bend.

The kinda crap we've all gone through at some point!!! Good luck getting it out. I think I went through my first dozen in about 2 months........either lost under 3 ft of dirt, cracked by hitting fence posts, or in a tree. Oh, Thank you Jesus that I'm finally past that stage!!!!

Winter is coming, so you have a place to hang your coat when you go inside

Dig a wedge out of the tree about 1" in diameter towards the arrow, don't hit the shaft. The try unscrewing it counterclockwise. I shot under a 3d pig last Tuesday at the range into a 4x4 post, and ended up getting frustrated digging and snapped it off. I taught that $10 arrow a lesson it won't forget.

Why did you shoot a tree????????????

You can drill next to it (both sides) and get it out. Be careful!

If it's not a cedar or hackberry, the tree is worth more than the arrow. Cut it off flush if it won't pull out.

Just leave it for something to remind you to take your time and hit where you are aiming. Keep shooting.
