    Anyone use Clarke tools

I have found myself in need of some shop equipment ans don't want to spend a ton of money. I found a Clarke band saw at Tractor Supply for under $200 and was wanting to know if anyone has any experience with this brand.

I will not be doing a bunch of heavy production, just cutting square tubing and up to 2'' angle.

Don't know anything about them. From the look of the pick, it's seem's like a good deal for under $200. I wonder if there is a tractor supply in my area that carries them? I will have to check.

Let me know how it works if you end up purchasing one..

I have a clarke chop saw, metal cutting circular saw and some metal shears. Had them for about 3 years now with no problems.

You have to be happy with any tool that lasts 3 years.

Yes, I'm happy with them. And to tell ya the truth I don't use them day to day. Just around here on my home projects. Got the them and other tools along with some other man toys on a trade for digging a pond for a fella 3 years back.

              Big Iron,
I have a chop saw that I bought for $49 and I have used that to cut all the sq tubing, angle iron, and c-purlin for 2 barns and all kinds of other stuff. It has lasted 5 years so far. Not sure if a chop saw would work for you but it did for me.

I have a chop saw now, it is just hard to get a good 45 on 2'' angle iron. I had a $40 one that lasted 3 years. I built 3 or 4 fences with that one.

I'm calling BS on you ever spending ONLY 40. on any tool before. You (we) have hammers that cost that.

I have seen your shop, I can't afford one of your blades.

I guess what comes around goes around. Red rover has no clue as to what is out in the garage....guess me spouting off doesn't help.
