What are yalls opinions on both? I have tried both and they have pros and cons. You never know if all three lumenoks will work but the can stand up to some punishment. The tracer lights up nicely and i like how you can put them in "sleep" mode but they have broken very easily for me. Hunting rabbits with the tracers, I have bounced he arrow off the ground and broken the batteries away from the light and they become useless. I want to get some more lighted nocks before deer season but I can't decide on which kind.

I have tried every one that will fit in the FMJ's....... Also you can look in DIY section for Tomkats thread on home made ones, which are identical to the po nocks.... since I can not get them to work in the small dia. shafts, I have not tried either of these.
IMO unless you are doing alot of videoing or night time hog hunting, save your money.

One of my all time favorite hunting quotes comes from a South African PH friend who after seeing hundreds and hundreds of them used in camp said, "Lumenok...gauranteed to work 55% of the time!". Of coarse, it's not nearly as effective when I say it as it is when he says it with an Africaans accent.
I've never shot the Easton or Carbon Express versions, so I don't have much to add there. I do like how the Easton version blinks after it's shot, seems like that would help you locate the arrow after the shot. My homemade ones with a Thill light work but are a pain in the arse to play with.

Well, I've used the lumenoks for a few years and lately they are getting worse on if they work or not. I'm trying the tracer this year. Guess I'll see if they are any better. The only thing I worry about is, I hunt alot out of a climber. I have taken a shot and missed before and the lumenok stayed on and later deer still came in. I worry that if it ever happens again will the flashing from the tracer spook the deer off. Guess we'll see what happens.

I know this is not part of your available answers....but I would buy one firenok before I would buy three lumenoks or any of the other lighted nocks and still be ahead at the end of the season by having one working at the end of the year. Now I don't know the previous statement for a fact but I am well over 300 shots into a single firenok and it is still going strong....based on my previous experiences with the Tracers and Lumenoks, I am not far from the truth. I plan on spending $18 and getting another. I figure as long as I do my part and a wounded animal doesn't run off with it, I shouldn't need to buy any more for the year or the next year...or even the next given a handful of shots at live animals per year.....
