Alright I've been hearing about these elite bows. How many of you guys out there have one of these bows? How long have you been shooting them? How smooth is the draw? Are you impressed with them? Whats the price range?

The guys who designed the Elites have started a new company called Strother Archery. I don't shoot an Elite but my son has one; after seeing and feeling it shoot I will be looking at an Elite or the New Strothers line....Right now I shoot a Mathews Legacy....nothing wrong with it either, just the Elites and Strothers are much faster.

you need to go shoot one brother
there are many models available , usually 3-4 each year. Some bows like the GTO , E500, and Synergy are several yrs old and have been discontinued.
New Elite bows are priced in the same range as other high end bow makers .. $700 - $749. The 2010 bows will be announced/released in 5-6 weeks (early October).
You can get a very good deal on a used, like-new Elite bow as I've seen them priced from $375 to $525 depending on model and year.
There is a very good deal in the classifieds for a Synergy Xtreme and a GT500
the Elite Archery website has useful info as well.
Archery Talk will have the largest selection of used bows.
if I lived closer you could shoot all of my bows to get the feel.
hope this helps

I have an Elite Envy#44, love to shoot that thing. Draw is not as smooth as some but I have the speed mods on mine, very solid wall. Retailed around $1,000 new but I bought mine used for $600 with all the mods and a Posten stabilizer dipped in the same camo. I think Elite makes the best lookin bows around, JMO.
