    Tuning

If you paper tune and you have 7 out of 10 arrows shooting bullets....does that mean those other 3 are trash, or are the still usable? on 1 out of the 3 i can get it to shoot good about every 3rd shot or so...

Try replacing the nocks.. or at least turn them 120 degrees and see if it helps or hurts..

Carbon shafts have a stiff side and a weak side as a result of the manufacturing process it is a common tuning method to align all the arrows so that the cock-vane is on the stiff side before fletching. But if you have not done this then it can be a random thing and you can sometimes match the shafts by turning the nock in 120-degree increments. The cock-vane is nothing more than a reminder for nocking position, in fact I generally fletch with all vanes/feathers the same and use the pip-mark on the nock as the reminder..

oh ok i see the same concept of a fishing rod...you wanna put the eyes on the top of the so called spine so that way you have the strongest part holding the most pressure like a back basically....so is it just a coincidence that the others just so happened to be right or could it be that they are wrong i'm just getting lucky by having them shoot straight? does this make sense? lol Also, is there a way to check to find the spine?

              Yep you got the concept...

I use a spine tester made by Ram Products. However it really doesn't matter if you align the stiff side or the weak side it will make very little difference in the flight of the arrow as long as they are all aligned alike.

also you could number your arrows and see which ones seem to work best
