I hope he gets his life together and moves forward now, 6+ months in prison is a horrible way for somebody to start out their adult life.
At times he was in the car when the people he was with would stop and grab stuff from mailboxes. Also, the money they obtained from the identity theft is what kept a roof over his head and food in his belly. My understanding is that he never participated, but he was clearly benefitting from their crime. And he never turned them in. I don't really see a problem with the punishment he recieved. It is a serious crime that can devastate an inocent person's life. I just wish he had stood up against his so called "friends" and done the right thing. Its sad that he will be a felon for the rest of his life. I too hope that he can get things together and move on. I guess only time will tell.
