    Brushing in a pop up

Well i bought a primos 360 escape and it said on the outside of the box that it had loops on it to brush it in . Well i put the blind up last weekend out at the lease and there are no loops on the blind to brush it in so what is a good alternative to use for brushing in a pop up blind ????

You don't necessarily need loop holes to brush it in. I cut six 8' pieces of brush and lay them over the pop up and wire them all together on top. Go from there, and pile brush/wire it on until the blind is completely covered. Then get inside, open your windows, and clear your shooting lanes.

Tie heavy string or wire across existing brush or any structure and hang new brush on it. I usually just stack it up around blind making sure not to put too much weight on the blind where it collapses.

I have never used the loops that are there anyway. Only thing I would add is..... once you think you have it brushed in enough, throw a little more on there. Then walk out about 50 yards and see if you can see the blind.

What the others have already said. My only advice is that when you think it's brushed in "enough", brush it in even more. More never hurts! I have also had good luck brushing it out, towards the direction that I will be shooting after I have the outline of the blind broken and brushed in. It almost seems like it messes with the animal's depth perception.

I just keep cutting cedar and pile it around a 100 sq foot area. the brush piles and then going to be wired for some stability. I'll post some pics when I'm done

Or just set it up at the treeline, under an overhanging branch.
I haven't brushed in a popup in 3-4 years. We've taken deer out of them the day after we set them up too. I'm begining to enjoy the simple is better approach to life. I'm even considering using my recurve to hunt. :-)

I have asked this before. I have no cedars on my place. I can brush it in and it looks good for about 2 weeks. The dead leaves fall off the limbs and you can clearly see the blind. I think they get comfortable with it. What do you think?

I usually just touch it up everytime I go with fresh stuff, seems to work for me

Artificial Christmas tree's are great for brushing in too. Hit the garage sales and pawn shops.

Get a piece of the good camo netting from your local Army Navy Surplus store and throw over the top. This really softens up the edges and helps blend it in. The best advice I got about brushing in blinds is once you are done, take a step back and look at it cause you are only 1/2 way done.

I would have to agree. We have one setup that is pretty much in the middle of an 8 acre field with one lone mesquite tree in it. The popup sits right under the tree and is no more than 12 yds from the feeder. Deer are always walking right under the tree and picking up corn that has bounced off of the blind and is laying right next to it. Last weekend we set up six new popups and did not brush one in, we will see how the deer react to those setups.

what Heath said. then spend about an hour or two trying to cover it up with what ever brush you have to where you can not see any hard angles. make sure you look from your feeder or trail or where ever the deer will be during the shot and duck to look at your set up from their eye height. im going to my ranch this sunday so i will take pictures of a few set ups and post them this coming week. good luck!

I don't have any pics but mine looks like a popup with brush on and around it. I'm not very good at it.
