I use one in New Mexico, it is nick named the "Hummer". Mainly because it is fun to tell people we are using a Hummer to run around the ranch. Truth be told, I had one in High School, and would not drive one on a street, but as far as a lease vehicle, other than an old army jeep, the Sami is hard to beat.

I owned one and I would not buy another. Parts are kinda hard to find and kinda expensive. Plus with the size of my family, I can't fit them all in for the ride around the ranch. I currrently have 85 toyota land cruiser and IMO, you can't beatem. My .02.

I love mine, only drive it around the ranch at home. Could probably get around in one in a small town. Ive been looking for another one so I can leave one at home and have one for sotx.

A sammi is a great lease vehicle. Like others, I wouldn't want to count on it as a daily driver. Very dependable and EASY to work on. I've found parts plentiful and inexpensive.

I've got an '88 model that will be listed soon. It's coming home from the lease for a clean up and pics. Too many toys!

I have a sami that I bought 2 years ago. I love it! Right now I'm changing the engine out. Parts are not hard to find and are very reasonable. I will drive mine back and forth to work, about 4 miles. I drive mine to a small lease I have about 20 miles away. I trailer it to my lease that is 5 hours away. Hoping the bigger engine will give me a little more speed. Top end on my old 1.0 liter engine was about 57 downhill with a tail wind. Putting an 88 1.3 liter 5 speed in it now.

My dad loves his. He drives it to the lease and around the lake where he lives. He would buy another one.

I have had one on the lease for about a year now. They are a really fun ride, a bit rough, but they can't be stopped short of high centering. Mine is street legal, but I very rarely take it on the highway.

i like mine, only thing i would suggest is the weber carb conversion. I swapped over and it runs great now.

I have had mine for 20 years, 88 model i bought in 89. 386.000 miles on it has been a daily driver forever. The best mod I ever did is change the seats from an integra. The only reason I would sell mine is in need for cash. Installed a 94 tracker fuel injected engine about 200k ago.
