You sure can.Some items to address are:
1)Cooling.
2)engine mounts
3)oil pan/cross member clearance
4)hood clearance
5)firewall clearance
6)fuel system
7)transmission
8)getting all the electronics to work together.

How much money you want to spend?

A buddy of mines brother put a cummins in a 85 or 86 chevy 4 Door short bed 4x4. Not sure what all he had to do to get it in there but it can be done. I do know he used the older 12 valve which made it a lot easier.

x2, you can do anything but you need the $$$ as well. If I done it I would use the complete drivetrain from a dodge and cutoff and replace the motor mounts. Will take a good bit of fabrication and changing out but shouldnt be that bad. You could end up spending a ton on this as cummins engines arent that cheap.
