    OT Firefox Problems?

Has anyone been experiencing any problems with firefox lately? My browser was running real slow and several pages from different websites were not loading properly. Occasionally it would freeze up and I would have to manually shut it down through task manager. I upgraded to the latest version, but that did not fix the problem. My version of I/E is running correctly so I assume it is a firefox problem. I even deleted the firefox I had and reinstalled it, but that didn’t help.

Anyone else experiencing similar? Any Suggestions on a possible fix? I can use I/E, but sure prefer Firefox.

    Thanks…

I have the newest version of Firefox, so I am guessing you may have picked up a virus or some malware somewhere along your travels..try sweeping your computer with malwarebytes or defender and see if that doesnt speed things up

Firefox on my laptop is slow but I haven't tried a newer version, and it could just be the computer itself. I did try the google chrome and it seems faster than firefox. I'm not all that good with computers, so as long as it gets me where I want to go it dont bother me too much.

Try this to make Firefox 10x Faster!!!

THIS IS A VERY SIMPLE TRICK. NO SOFTWARE REQUIRED.

          1. Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit enter. Scroll down and look for the following entries:

          2. Alter the entries as follows:

          Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true"
          Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true"

set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once.

          3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it recieves.

NOTE: this trick only works for broadband users not for dialup.

Sounds like your running MS. I run UBUNTU (Linux) and have had no problems.

I did it and I can't really tell a difference. youtube still take about 30 min to load. Was working fine until the new update.

Mine was already set the way you showed to change it, I added the integer 'thing'. I have not noticed a difference, yet.
