I work for the spinal division of an orthopedics company. I'll get you a few recommendations to check out. Feel free to email me. Briefly tell me what your diagnosis is.

#1 in Texas for outcome and facility is Texas Spine and Joint Hospital in Tyler. Dr. Detwiler is also a bowhunter besides operating on many notables (including top money winners on the pro-bass tour)...good luck

        Dr. Gilbert Meadows MD
Medical Jobs in TexasOrthopedic Spine Surgeon - San Antonio, Texas

Did a lot of research before my wife had surgery. He came highly recommended by several other people that he performed surgery on.

Every thing worked out great for her, successful surgery and great staff.

If I needed back surgery, he would be my first pick.

        Good luck!!!

Two back surgeries with Dr. Phillip Bechtel and one neck surgery with Dr. Andrew Dossett, Both top notch guys and I would recommend either. My only problem is both told me it would not be the last time they would see me.

Dr. Dossett did lots of good for me a year ago. HIGHLY recommend using this guy. Backs are complicated, nerve pain will drive you crazy. Do your research and find the right fix for your problem. I waited until it got crazy bad then had surgery. Getting ready to play a little flag football this fall now.

He is looking at my mom right now, she is 80, and I am putting my trust in him for her well being..
sorry it took me so long. It was pretty tender for about 6 months and then gradually the pain and numbness went away. Now, granted I need to lose some weight which does play a factor, I feel some discomfort somedays but for the most part I am very happy. I had a bulge pushing on my sciatic nerve and if it stayed like that I would have permanent nerve damage, lifelong numbness of my left leg.
