I saw one at Academy tonight. The short barreled concealed carry version. Anyone have one? I'm thinking about getting one for my back up gun. Any likes or dislikes about it???
Micro barrelled shotgun = not for me.
No rifled barrel on a pistol = not for me.
But to each his own. If you like it, buy it. I've seen and heard many that like it.
All range reports I've seen posted on it, even the ones that were reported as "favorable, good, etc..." showed poor accuracy to me. The buckshot was spread out way too far, and the .45LC groupings resembled my worst days at the range (days that I folded up my target so nobody else would see it).
But then again, some people hate my weapon of choice. That is why so many different firearms exists.
The Judge is a good gun for its intendend use... it is intended for a close-quarters self-defense handgun... in all the thests that have been done for self-defense / concealed carry, the Judge has proven a very worthy pistol...
If you want to hunt birds ... get a rifle, if you want a self-defense handgun with devastating power... the Judge will work great... look around, lots of articles on accuracy and takedown power...
The Judge was never meant to put lead 100 yards downrange... it's intended use is close quarters...
It is a shotgun with a 4" barrel. It is probably great if the bad guy is close enough for you to touch him with the barrel before you pull the trigger or for snakes out to a few yards.
