My wife, Colton and I decided to head to Leakey for a few days to do a little digging and a little bit of relaxing. The artifact hunting wasn't all that great because the ground is literally like concrete because of the severe drought out that way. I wasn't able to dig in the area I wanted to but I still scraped out a couple of decent points.
I picked a spot back in some big oak trees right above the Frio where the ground was a little bit softer. Their wasn't much material in the ground but I didn't have too many options.
After a bit, I saw this sticking out of the ground. I took this picture before I even knew if it was.

I called Colton over and let him be the first one to lay a hand on it. The last human to touch this piece was over a thousand years ago more than likely.

Here it is all cleaned up. Very nice.

The two middle ones are the best points I found on this trip. They look to be Bulverde's.

After a hard day of digging, I ventured down to the Frio and managed to find some nice crystal clear water to bathe off in. Life is good.

Till Next Time!
