You have primers down the hole set at a certain time. You then have to connect each hole using surface caps to "wire" in the time b/t the holes. It is all done in ms. Thats the short to the point answer.

glas tapes,lead weights, auger trucks, NON-El systems.............. came along way. Also full electronic caps out. I am not a big fan but they are good. Program any time you want.
